Kathryn Arant
PT, RPT
I am a graduate of the University of Washington's Physical Therapy Program. I joined Balance PT in 2008 and feel privileged to be part of such an outstanding team. Originally from Mississippi, I greatly enjoy working in the Pacific Northwest in outpatient physical therapy. My emphasis is in treating the spine using manual therapy, with specialized training in muscle energy, strain/counterstrain, and with the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy. My most recent pursuit was completion of Pilates Instructor for Rehab certification utilizing all the classic Pilates exercises/equipment for physical therapy. Applying the philosophy "you must get moving to keep moving" I utilize my diverse skills to provide individual plans to facilitate this goal for each patient.

My Story
When out of the clinic, you can find me scuba diving in the cold waters of Puget Sound and distant warm water destinations. With the advent of digital photography, this has opened an ideal mode for capturing the behaviors and beautiful colors in our marine environments. You will find some of my underwater images published in various scuba magazines and websites (www.dreamsofblue.com). I have also joined the volunteer divers at the Seattle Aquarium where I don a full face mask for underwater interpretation and feeding of the many fish in the Windows on Washington Waters and Underwater Dome exhibits. I am also an active Triathlete, maintaining my fitness level to keep up with the underwater critters.
