COVID -19 Updates

Effective March 12, 2022, Governor Inslee announced an updated state wide mask mandate “face masks are no longer required in many indoor settings, including K-12 schools, restaurants, gyms, grocery stores and retail locations. Masks will still be required in some settings, including (but not limited to) medical facilities, long-term care facilities, and public transit. Private businesses and local governments may still require masks, if they choose. Many individuals may want to continue wearing masks for added protection from COVID-19.”
Masks are still required to be worn on the premises of all healthcare facilities. All our providers and staff will continue to wear masks. Patients will be provided a mask and are still required to wear one. All patients are required to use hand sanitizer upon entry to the clinic. Anyone without a mask or with any symptoms of COVID19 will not be treated.
We continue to follow the strict guidelines of the CDC and WHO, and, as always, use universal precautions for all disease prevention.
Balance PT supports the science and safety of COVID 19 vaccines, and we strongly encourage all our patients and community to consider if the vaccine is right for you. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration amended the emergency use authorization (EUA) for both Moderna and the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines authorizing use of a single booster dose for all individuals 18 years of age and older after completion of primary vaccination with any FDA-authorized or approved COVID-19 vaccine.
We encourage anyone in these categories to consider if a booster is right for you. Most regional pharmacies are scheduling appointments. We also suggest that you to consider obtaining a digital COVID-19 Verification Record. Links include:  waverify.doh.wa.gov
and clearme.com/vaccine-validation .

If you have been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID 19 in the past 10 days; we ask that you contact us so we can discuss further screening questions to make the best determination for your care. If you display any symptoms of illness, please call our front desk as soon as possible. All late cancel fees will be waived for illness during this time. Thank you for your cooperation.

Balance PT has only private treatment rooms. Additional regimented procedures for clinic and room cleaning processes are in place, please be patient as we take the necessary time to prepare and sterilize your treatment room.

Balance PT is offering Telemedicine services. Most insurance plans are covering these services with no patient responsibility for the "virtual" visit. If you wish to have Telemedicine services, please email: Kira@balancept.org.

Welcome Shanna Sullivan, PT, DPT
We are thrilled to have you join our team
I am a graduate from George Fox University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in Newberg, Oregon. I started my career in Oregon, at an outpatient physical therapy clinic and wellness center in a very active and outdoor community. I refined my skills in various orthopedic-related injuries and focused on return to sport and injury prevention. Within my first few years in clinical practice, I also gained a special interest in treating Women’s Health after discovering how common pelvic floor dysfunction is, and the lack of treatment in this area. I have taken advanced training through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Institute to become specialized in pelvic rehabilitation. I am passionate about helping my patients restore function and achieve well-being in all aspects of their life.
I am originally from North Bend, WA, and my husband and I recently moved back to raise our daughter near family and in the community that I love and grew up in. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy going on coffee dates, running, hiking, and hitting the ski slopes.
Let's Not Forget Our Friends and Neighbors
during this challenging and isolating time. Coronavirus doesn't recognize race, nationality, nor ethnicity.  It's important to consider how our thoughts, words, and actions affect the people whose lives we touch. Let us continue to affirm the dignity and value or each person and model a grace-filled community.

We think you’ll agree it’s a unique place. A place that welcomes everyone of all ages and backgrounds. A place that’s financially sustainable so it can continue to offer services to the community, but doesn’t make finances the central point for patient care decisions. A place that still believes compassion is part of the healing process.
